Leben im Fluss und auf dem Fluss. Alles in Bewegung. Man kann sich nicht zweimal im gleichen Fluss baden. Nur manchmal formen sich Bilder und Begegnungen vergehen so schnell wie sie entstehen. Fotografie kann das bewahren. Meine Arbeit am Mekong untersucht die archaische Beziehung der Menschen zum Wasser, mit Wasser und vom Wasser leben. In dieser Welt wo alles fließt, erfreuen die Momente wenn Menschen auf Booten zusammenkommen…

Living in and on the river. Everything is in motion. You can not take a bath in the same river twice. Only sometimes you can recognise structure but those images vanish as fast as they came. Photography can preserve that moment. In my work I examine the archaic relationship between men and water, with water and living of the water. In this world where everything flows, the moments when people come together on boats are joyful…
